In a game full of scoring runs, Strasburg had the last and most decisive. After jumping out to a quick 8-2 lead to start the game, East Canton's offense stalled. Down 17-20 at half, East Canton had some rallying to do. In the second half, a tenacious full court trap by East Canton led to three consecutive scores without Strasburg crossing half court. This put East Canton up 30-27. Strasburg quickly hit a three pointer to tie the game and the Tigers never looked back after that, rallying for 7 more unanswered points.
East Canton attempted a comeback but the closest they could get was within 4 points. Plagued by foul trouble, East Canton truly became deflated when Sr. Joe Cartwright fouled out with 3 minutes and change remaining. Brandon Slater's lay-up right before the final buzzer left East Canton short 44-51.
Look for my interview with Head Coach Chad Spurgeon to be posted in the next few days. I
found it to be informative and interesting.

The writing on this blog is pretty good!!
I agree -- this blog is impressive! Lokking forward to the Spurgeon interview.
Can the Hornets still be getting deflated every time Joey fouls out? That is like 17 of the last 23 games for him.
